Makbool Javaid

Makbool is a director of Axis HR Consulting. He was formerly a Partner and head of the discrimination law team at global law firm DLA Piper LLP. He is widely regarded as a leading practitioner in the employment law field and related regulatory and investigative matters.

Makbool has substantial experience advising public bodies and was head of Litigation Services at the Commission for Racial Equality and has been involved in several high profile cases in the appellate courts. He is a CEDR accredited mediator and a recognised diversity trainer to major bodies, including the UN.

Makbool is on the editorial panel of HR Director magazine. He has been described in legal directories as a “highly respected discrimination law practitioner” and previously as “business minded”, “down- to-earth” and a “good man to have on your side” (The Legal 500).
